Your yes does not have to be loud. It just has to be sincere.

Your “Yes” Can Come Before Your Confidence

Dear beautiful,

How many things have you postponed because you didn't feel ready?

Maybe there is something in your heart that you have been thinking about for months or even years. A business you want to start. A book you want to write. A ministry you feel called to pursue. A course you want to take. A conversation you know you need to have. A new direction you believe God has been leading you toward.

But every time you think about taking the step, that little voice asks, What if I'm not ready? So you wait.

You tell yourself you need more knowledge, more money, more experience, more confidence, more confirmation. You promise yourself that you will move when you feel more prepared.

But what if confidence is not supposed to come first? What if your yes comes before your confidence?

Hebrews 11:8 says,

“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”

I love that because Abraham obeyed without having the entire picture.

He went!

He did not have every detail. He did not know exactly what the journey would look like. He simply trusted the One who called him enough to take the first step. Sometimes we think faith means feeling completely confident before we move.

It doesn't!

Faith can look like trembling hands and a willing heart. Faith can sound like, “God, I am nervous, but yes. It can look like saying, I don't feel qualified, but if You called me, I will trust You to teach me.

There have been moments when I have had to move before I felt completely ready. And if I waited until I felt fearless, I would probably still be standing in the same place.

I have learned that readiness is not always a feeling. Sometimes readiness is simply willingness!

There is a difference between being unprepared and being uncomfortable. You should prepare, learn, seek wise counsel, count the cost, and use the gifts God has given you. But preparation should not become an excuse for permanent hesitation.

You can prepare and still take the step. You can be nervous and still obey. You can have questions and still say yes. And sometimes the confidence you have been waiting for will meet you on the other side of obedience. Think about learning to walk. A child does not become confident and then take the first step. They take the first step, stumble, get back up, and eventually become more confident because they have practiced walking.

Your faith can grow the same way.

Every time you obey God in something small, you learn to trust Him with something greater. Every step becomes evidence that He is with you. Every experience teaches you that you don't have to know everything to move forward.

Maybe God has already shown you your next step, but you keep asking Him for confidence. Perhaps the prayer you need to pray is different.

“Lord, I may not feel ready, but give me the courage to obey.”

That's a powerful prayer!

Because your yes does not have to be loud. It just has to be sincere.

Your reflection for today: What is one thing you have been postponing because you don't feel ready? Write it down. Then ask yourself honestly: Am I waiting for God's direction, or am I waiting until I feel completely confident?

You may not need more confidence. You may simply need to trust God with the courage you have today.

Take the step and let God meet you there

And remember, beautiful woman: your faith may be stronger than you feel, and your yes may be more powerful than you realize.

With love,

Your sister in Christ, love and prosperity
