Your Next Chapter Requires Your Yes
Hello Beautiful,
There comes a moment when prayer must be followed by movement. There comes a time when what you have been asking God to do requires you to respond to what He has already shown you. Prayer is powerful, but prayer was never meant to become a hiding place where we remain comfortable while avoiding the step God has placed before us.
You have prayed about it. You have talked about it. You have written it in your journal, placed it on your vision board, and carried it in your heart. You have asked God for confirmation, waited for the right opportunity, and told yourself that you would move when everything became clear.
But what if the next confirmation is your willingness to move?
What if God has already answered through the idea that will not leave you, the opportunity that keeps returning, the conversation that confirmed what you were sensing, or the desire that continues growing even when you try to ignore it?
There are moments when we say we are waiting on God, but God may be waiting on our yes.
Your yes does not mean you have every answer. It does not mean you know exactly how the journey will unfold or that you will never experience fear. Your yes means you trust the One who called you more than you trust your ability to predict what will happen next.
Your yes may look like completing the application you keep opening and closing. It may mean writing the first page of the book that has lived inside you for years. It may require setting the boundary that protects your peace, even though you know someone may not understand it.
Your yes may look like starting the business, returning to school, asking for help, scheduling the appointment, joining the program, ending the cycle, or finally believing that you are capable of doing what God placed in your heart.
Sometimes your yes will be public and celebrated. Other times it will be quiet, private, and known only by you and God. It may not receive applause, but it will create the movement necessary for your life to change.
Do not allow fear to disguise itself as preparation.
Preparation is necessary. Preparation gives structure to your faith and helps you become a responsible steward of the opportunity you have requested. But preparation can become procrastination when we continue gathering information long after God has told us to move.
Fear will always give you another reason to wait. It will tell you that you need one more class, one more conversation, one more sign, one more connection, or one more guarantee. Fear will make delay feel responsible while quietly convincing you that you are never ready.
But readiness does not mean you know everything. Readiness means you have prepared what you can, prayed for direction, and are willing to trust God with what you cannot control.
There will never be a perfect moment when every question has been answered and every fear has disappeared. There will always be something you wish you knew before beginning. Some answers will only become available after you take the first step.
You cannot receive instructions for a road you refuse to enter.
You cannot experience the grace connected to your next step while remaining in the place where you feel most comfortable.
Faith is not simply believing that God can do it. Faith is moving as though you believe He will guide you while you do your part.
Tomorrow, women will begin gathering in Gulf Shores for the BAM TransformHER Retreat. This moment did not begin when we entered the hotel or opened the doors to the reception. It began with a yes.
It began when I said yes to the vision before I knew every detail. It continued through every prayer, decision, sacrifice, adjustment, and moment when the responsibility felt heavier than expected. We prayed, planned, prepared, and now it is time to proceed.
That is how transformation works. First, God gives you the vision. Then He begins preparing you to carry it. Eventually, there comes a moment when you must move beyond discussing what He showed you and become an active participant in bringing it to life.
Whether you are attending the retreat or following this journey from home, God can meet you right where you are. Transformation is not limited to a particular location. God can speak to you beside the ocean, at your kitchen table, in your car, during your lunch break, or in the quiet moments before everyone else wakes up.
Your transformation does not require a perfect environment. It requires an open heart, a willing spirit, and an honest yes.
Your yes may not immediately change everything around you, but it will begin changing something within you. It will challenge the version of you that learned to survive by remaining small. It will confront the fear that convinced you it was safer not to try. It will require you to release the belief that you must feel confident before you can be obedient.
Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is deciding that fear will no longer have the final word.
You may feel afraid and still say yes.
You may have questions and still say yes.
You may need support and still say yes.
You may not know every step and still say yes to the one God has placed in front of you.
Your next chapter will not be written by intention alone. It will be written through obedience, discipline, movement, and the small decisions you make when no one is watching.
A dream without movement remains an idea. A prayer without obedience can become a place of delay. A vision without preparation will struggle to carry the weight of opportunity.
But when prayer, preparation, and obedience come together, your yes becomes the doorway to transformation.
Beautiful, stop waiting to become a woman who never feels fear. Become the woman who has learned how to move with God, even when fear is present.
You do not have to see the entire staircase to take the next step. You do not have to understand every chapter before agreeing to turn the page. You simply have to trust that the God who gave you the vision will provide wisdom as you move.
Your next chapter requires more than your desire.
It requires your participation.
It requires your courage.
It requires your yes.
Reflection:
What step have you delayed because you were waiting to feel completely ready?
Have you mistaken procrastination for preparation?
What has God already confirmed that now requires your movement?
Today’s Action:
Identify one step you can complete today. Do not choose the entire plan. Choose the next faithful action. Complete the application, write the first paragraph, make the call, ask for help, establish the boundary, or begin the conversation.
Let your yes become visible through your actions.
Prayer:
God, thank You for every vision, idea, and instruction You have placed inside me. Forgive me for the moments when I allowed fear to disguise itself as preparation and delayed what You were asking me to do.
Give me the courage to say yes to the next step, even when I do not have every answer. Teach me to trust Your direction more than I trust my need for certainty.
Help me pray with faith, plan with wisdom, prepare with discipline, and proceed with courage. Remind me that I do not have to walk the entire journey today. I only need to obey the instruction You have placed before me.
I release the fear of failure, the fear of being seen, and the fear of beginning before I feel completely ready. My confidence is not in knowing everything. My confidence is in knowing that You will guide me as I go.
Today, my answer is yes.
Amen.
There’s More Courage In You!
