There’s Still More In You
Hello Beautiful,
Sometimes growth feels like starting over. You look around and realize that the plan changed, the relationship ended, the opportunity closed, or the version of life you expected no longer exists. In those moments, it can feel as though everything you built has been erased and you have been sent back to the beginning. But you are not returning to the same place as the same woman. You are moving forward with wisdom, discernment, experience, and a deeper understanding of who God created you to be.
You know things now that you did not know before. You recognize patterns more quickly, understand your boundaries more clearly, and know what it costs to ignore the warning signs God places before you. You have learned how to pray differently, plan more carefully, and protect what God placed inside you. The woman you are today has survived conversations, decisions, disappointments, and private battles that changed the way you see yourself and the way you approach what comes next.
Nothing you learned was wasted. Even the seasons that appeared unproductive were developing something within you. The closed doors taught you discernment. The delays strengthened your patience. The disappointments exposed the places that still needed healing. The mistakes humbled you, the losses redirected you, and the moments that left you questioning everything forced you to discover what you truly believed about God and yourself.
Sometimes we call a season wasted simply because it did not produce the outcome we expected. But every season is not designed to give you something you can hold in your hands. Some seasons give you wisdom. Some give you clarity. Some give you boundaries. Some teach you how to recognize what peace feels like after spending too much time living in confusion. What may have looked like a setback could have been God protecting you, preparing you, and teaching you how to build differently the next time.
You may be rebuilding, but you are not rebuilding without experience. You are not standing in the same place with the same mindset, the same habits, or the same level of awareness. You now know that everything that looks like an opportunity is not an assignment. You know that every person who has access to you should not have influence over you. You know that movement is not always progress and that being busy is not the same as being obedient.
Do not be ashamed if you have to begin again. Beginning again does not mean you failed. It means you have been given another opportunity to build with greater intention. This time, you can build with the wisdom you gained from what did not work. You can ask better questions, establish healthier boundaries, choose your relationships more carefully, and stop ignoring the things you once excused because you were afraid of losing what you had.
Just make sure you begin again with God.
Pray before you move so your emotions do not lead you into a decision your spirit has not confirmed. Plan before you build so that your excitement does not cause you to overlook the foundation. Prepare for what you have been asking God to provide so that when the opportunity arrives, you have the capacity to steward it well. Then pursue it with faith, understanding that preparation cannot remove every uncertainty, but obedience will keep you connected to the One who knows the entire journey.
You are not starting from nothing. You are starting with lessons that cost you something. You are starting with prayers that carried you through nights no one knew were difficult. You are starting with the strength you discovered when quitting would have been easier. You are starting with the wisdom that came from surviving what you once believed would destroy you.
You are not the same woman you were when the journey began. You are wiser, stronger, more discerning, and more aware of what God placed inside you. You may not have everything figured out, but you no longer need every answer before taking the next faithful step. You simply need the courage to trust that the God who sustained you in the previous season will guide you as you build again.
This is not your punishment.
This is not proof that you are behind.
This is your opportunity to begin again with wisdom.
Reflection:
What lesson from your previous season must become part of how you build your next one?
What warning did you once ignore that you now have the wisdom to recognize?
What will you do differently because of what God has taught you?
Prayer:
God, thank You for every lesson that prepared me for this moment. Thank You for the doors You closed, the delays You allowed, and the seasons that taught me how to trust You more deeply. Help me release the shame of beginning again and recognize the wisdom I am carrying forward.
Teach me how to pray before I move, plan before I build, prepare for what I have requested, and pursue my next season with faith. Give me the discernment to recognize what belongs in my future and the courage to leave behind what no longer aligns with who You are calling me to become.
Remind me that I am not starting from nothing. I am starting with experience, wisdom, strength, and a testimony of Your faithfulness.
Amen.
There’s More Wisdom In You!
