Good morning sis,
Have you ever felt like you were in a great place in your life? Your bills or paid. You have food on your table and food in the cabinets. You have a place to sleep and call home. You have a vehicle or a way to get to work. Your kids are doing their best, but they have their fawls. Your marriage is doing great, but you both can do better or you are single but you are okay with where you are in life. You are blessed, because you are not were you used to be, which may have been a place of brokenness, bitterness or financially bound, but you are now blessed beyond measure. Yes you still have trials and adversity, but you have learned how to conquer those things. Again you feel like you are blessed, but there is something that’s tugging at your heart saying that you should be doing more or something has shifted that makes you want more.
This reminds me of a message I just taught about a guy named Nehemiah in the bible and the title of the message was: God sees you… Keep building.
In the book of Nehemiah you find Nehemiah in a place of peace living in the palace taking care of the King by being his cupbearer. He was really in the best place ever by serving the King and living in the palace with royalty. He was not in boundage like his ancestors and again he was living in the palace in a place of peace. He was blessed to be in this position, even though it was dangerous because he was responsible for every drink that the king had to take. Meaning he had to check to see if someone poisoned the drink by drinking and tasting it first before the King. Come HERE… Let me pause to say maybe you have become immune to going through some things and the devil knows that you are a overcomer no matter what comes your way. Like Nehemiah, you don’t mind serving others and you don’t mind taking care of others close to you, but something has shifted in you and you feel like there is more for you to do.
Nehemiah 2:2 1In the month of Nisan in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was brought for him, I took the wine and gave it to the king. I had not been sad in his presence before, 2 so the king asked me, “Why does your face look so sad when you are not ill? This can be nothing but sadness of the heart.”I was very much afraid, 3 but I said to the king, “May the king live forever! Why should my face not look sad when the city where my ancestors are buried lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?”4 The king said to me, “What is it you want?”Then I prayed to the God of heaven, 5 and I answered the king, “If it pleases the king and if your servant has found favor in his sight, let him send me to the city in Judah where my ancestors are buried so that I can rebuild it.
In Nehemiah 2:2-5 the King notices that Nehmaih is sad and not just that he is sad, but his heart is sad. In other words he knows that Nehmaih is loyal to him because he has put himself in harm’s way for the King to make sure that the King does not die due to someone’s hatred for the King. My biblical noisy self believes that the King knew that it was time for Nehemiah to shift as well and knew that change was about to happen, but he understood the loyalty that Nehmiah had for him , which made the King ask him the first questions about his sadness. But the second question is what blew my mind, which was… What do you want?
My questions to you today my sister in christ is. What do you want to do? Are you willing to let go of what YOU are comfortable doing to tell God what you want to do. God has told us in Jermiah 29:11 that he has plans to purpose us and not to harm us, to give us hope and a future. The same God that said that in Jeremiah is the same God that shifted Nehamiah’s heart to rebuild a city that was torn down in Genesis all because the people wanted self glory and God shifted Nehmaiah’s heart to go back to build the same city. Check this out, when he left the King he had all the tools he needed to build the City and it was because he knew the answer to the questions. What do you want? He told King what he wanted and what needed to rebuild the city. (Read Nehemiah 2:6-9 for more of the story).
But I want to ask you as a woman of faith and my sister in christ. What are you going to build or rebuild? Don’t wait until 2022 to start the process of building, I want to encourage to start building it NOW,
Tonya, what are you building now? So glad you asked lol. With the help of God and my family, we are building a legacy that will not just leave something for my girls, but a legacy that will leave residency in the mind of those I come in contact with. Meaning I want to build real estate in the minds of people, by knowing when you come in contact with me, you leave with something that will activate the gifts that’s already in you. Meaning I want to leave that person thinking about their gift or about what God has designed them to do here on earth. Like right now I pray that this blog has you thinking about the question…. What do you want to do in 2022? Again I want to build a residence in your brain that will make you think about your next. COME ON GLORY!!!
What do I want to build soon, a place that will allow me to do that for women in an actual physical facility. I believe it will happen and it’s going to happen as long as I keep Building & DREAMING BIG!!! Can I pause tell you that if this girl that did not graduate with her class because I felt dumb, this girl that did not know her worth and allowed man to treat her like she was nothing, this same girl that hurt people because I was hurt. Listen, this same girl through the help of God graduated years later from school because I had a Dream to do it. This same girl that almost did not graduate is now about to write her 5th book because I had Dream and this same girl God sent a man that loves her beyond measure. This same girl that had it all after years of being married lost her identity, but I had a Dream to find me and now I teach others how to Snatch their Identity. If a God can do that for me, sis PLEASE know that he WILL do the same for you, but like me you have to have FAITH and DREAM BIG!!!
Lastly, Sanballat and Tobiah tried to stop Nehmiah by trying to lie on him, kill him and anything to stop him, but Nehamiah kept praying, but he did not stop building all because God saw his heart in the beginning. My sister in Christ, God sees your heart, just KEEP BUILDING!!!
You were created for purpose and design to do great works while you are here on earth. What are you going to do?
